This core area of the MPA program is designed to teach students how to think critically, analyze, solve problems, and make decisions that are evidence based. The works highlighted show how using analytics can help make informed decisions in the public service field.

Communication

This core area of the MPA program is designed to teach students how to communicate and interact productively and in culturally responsive ways with a diverse and changing workforce and society at large. The works displayed describe how important it is to communicate in an objective way no matter the audience.

The Policy Process

This core area of the MPA program is designed to teach students how to participate in and contribute to the policy process. The works highlighted display how policy is analyzed and how as public servants students can be an active participant in the policy process. 

Public Service

This core area of the MPA program is designed to help students apply, articulate and advance a public service prospective. The works highlighted show how important it is for the public to have access to and be informed about services provided to them through government.
